Ministry of Emergency Situations

The Ministry of ES of RA has informed that some roads are closed and difficult to pass in the Republic of Armenia․

The roadway leading from Amberd fortress to Kari lake in Aragatsotn province is closed․

Vardenyats Pass (snowstorm) is closed for trucks with trailer and difficult to pass for other types of vehicles.

Intercommunity roadways of Amasia region, Gyumri-Amasia and Gyumri-Bavra (there is blizzard) roadways of Shirak province are difficult to pass.

It is snowing in Syunik province (except Kapan town), in Hrazdan town of Kotayk province, in Talin, Aparan and Aragats regions of Aragatsotn province, on Tigranashen turns of Ararat province and in highlands of Vayots Dzor province.

Black ice is formed on Aparan-Aragats roadway of Aragatsotn province.

Fog is noticed in Ashtarak town of Aragatsotn province.

According to the information provided by the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and from the Department of Crisis Management Center of the Republic of North Ossetia of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open for all types of vehicles. 

Drivers are recommended to drive exclusively on winter tires.
