MES participated in the online meeting of the Inter-State Council of CIS member countries

Today, on November 25, Artyush Grigoryan, First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, Artak Ghazaryan, the representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of RA in the Russian Federation, and Gurgen Martirosyan, Head of the Department of Population Protection and Disaster Risk Reduction of the Rescue Service, participated in the 34th meeting of the CIS Inter-State Council on Natural and Man-made emergency situations, which was held in online format.
The participants discussed the presidency of the Inter-State Council, the program on the activities aimed at improving the 2021-2022cooperation, which was related to the prevention and elimination of natural and man-made emergency situations, as well as a number of issues regarding the project of the main activities of the Council in 2023.
First Deputy Minister highly appreciated the efforts and contribution of the CIS Executive Committee in developing the multilateral relations and thanked for the close and enhanced cooperation in the issues of elimination of the consequences of disasters.
“The development of close cooperation between our departments in complex and responsible work will become the guarantee of joint accomplishments. I hope that the rate of the development of relations with the CIS member states will reach a new level of real complementation in the near future. I wish all the participants and organizers of the session fruitful work, constructive dialogue and effective collaboration,” said Artyush Grigoryan.
CIS Executive committee proposed to hold the 35th jubilee session in Armenia. The parties agreed to discuss this proposal in the near future.
