Earthquake hit 2 km east from the village of Shorzha

On June 5, at 22:25 local time (at 18:25 by GMT), the Seismological Network of the Regional Survey for Seismic Protection of the MES of the RA recorded an earthquake at the northern latitude 40.50⁰ and eastern longitude 45.30⁰ geographic coordinates (2 km east from the village of Shorzha, Armenia), with 2.6 magnitude and 10 km depth.

The tremor measured magnitude 3-4 points at the epicenter area.

The earthquake was felt in the town of Gavar with 2-3 points and in the villages of Shorzha, Jil, Artanish, Vahan and Aghberk in Gegharkunik Province with 3 points intensity.
