The Ministry of Emergency Situations continues the process of replenishing the staff of the Public Council at the Ministry of Emergency Situations

Guided by the requirement of the 2nd subparagraph of the 2nd paragraph of the RA Prime Minister's decision No. 1552-l of December 27, 2018 and pursuant to the Council's work regulations approved by the RA government's Protocol decision No. 52 of November 26, 2015, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia continues the process of replenishing the staff of the Public Council under the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The purpose of the formation of the Public Council is to encourage public participation and increase transparency and accountability of the activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

One of the goals of the formation of the Public Council is to encourage public involvement in the implementation of the goals and objectives of the Ministry making it more effective and to increase the transparency and accountability of the activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

In order to be included in the membership of the Public Council under the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, organizations and individuals (meeting the below mentioned requirements) submit to the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia an application for the acceptance in the Council. The application shall be accompanied by information and documents proving compliance with the requirements.

The Council may include non-governmental organizations, mass media, organizations representing national minorities, as well as other interested individuals whose nature of the activities match with the main activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry), having at least 2 years of professional experience in the relevant field (implemented or participated in the field-related projects, did expert works, had field-related publications, participated in the working groups or committees established by the Ministry, cooperated with international organizations in the field-related issues, etc.) and their participation in the activities of the Council can contribute to the implementation of the goals and objectives of the Council in more efficient way. Individuals or organizations who are currently financed by the Ministry (through grants or services under the Republic of Armenia Law on Procurement) may not be included in the Council.

Depending on the peculiarities of the Ministry's activities, the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia may include organizations or individuals being financed by the Ministry in the Council on the basis of the reasoned decision.

The following documents are required to submit to be included in the Council:

• Application to the Minister of Emergency Situations of RA
• Autobiography and letter of interest
• Characteristics - by the organization providing the guarantee
• Reference on the activities of the nominating organization.

Applications are accepted from December 11 to January 20.
