Cognitive visit to the Ministry of Emergency Situations: the children are aware

On November 15 the Ministry of Emergency Situations hosted the pupils of the 8th class of N131 primary school named after Peyo Yavorov of Yerevan.

At the beginning of the meeting the young guests of the Ministry were represented the history of the establishment, structure and main functions of MES system. Artur Vardanyan, r/s Major, Instructor in the National Crisis Management Center represented the NCMC activity to the pupils. The children got acquainted with the mission of the center, main principles of the work, technical possibilities, activities of ''911'' service.

The next point of the visit was the meeting with N13 Special Fire Squad of Yerevan. Gegham Hovhannisyan, r/s Lieutenant Colonel, Sub-commander of the Squad explained the children in detail and firefighters introduced them the technical possibilities of the escalator and fire cars in practice.

The pupils were in the Psychological Support Division, too, where r/s Lieutenant Ani Harutyunyan represented the importance and role of the psychological center in rescue activities.

The pupils who visited the Ministry led by teacher Azniv Zakaryan and psychologist of the school Lena Poghosyan were inspired by what they saw: ''We are grateful that you gave a chance to our pupils to be in a place where not everyone succeeds to be. We are thankful for your kind and patient attitude, our pupils witnessed the implementation and organization of the complex work of the rescuer. I think it will help our pupils in choosing profession in the future'', - highlighted Lena Poghosyan.

The schoolchildren got a chance to see with their own eyes what they have heard so much about and make sure that in our country there is a service always ready to get to help in difficult moments.
