Consultative Meeting at MTAES. Minister Yeritsyan Will Visit Syunik Region

On March 30, the regular weekly consultative meeting was held at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations, RA chaired by Minister Armen Yeritsyan.

At the beginning of the consultation the Minister referred to the community enlargement pilot project, which will be launched in 3 regions. On March 31, the Minister will hold a consultative meeting in Vayk, thence, will visit 8 communities of Syunik region, included in the pilot project. The purpose of the visit is to meet with local residents, to discuss community enlargement project and answer to the farmers questions. “Explanatory work must be carried out among people, to help them realize, what is community enlargement and what it means, so that the farmers will know for what to vote. We must do everything possible to improve our communities living standards”,- noted A. Yeritsyan. Minister will also take part at the regional Council session of Syunik.

Rescue Service Director, r/s Lieutenant-General Sergey Azaryan reported on incidents registered during the week, measures undertaken, the implemented tasks and the ongoing activities. During the week, the rescue service divisions responded to 224 cases. It was also reported to Minister about the results of the parliamentary hearings on “Organization and implementation of Civil Defense in the RA”.

Director of “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Service” SNCO of the MTAES L. Vardanyan presented the upcoming weather forecast, noting, that the temperature will rise from April 1-2. Akhuryan reservoir was filled to almost 80 percent, due to enough snow cover. Head of the service also noted, that spring rains will still be continued.

Head of the State Migration Service G. Yeganyan briefly presented the complete data of citizens, who had ban on entry to the Russian Federation during the week.

Taking part in the online weekly consultation, the Head of State Emergency Service AG NKR and the heads of regional rescue departments reported on the incidents registered during the week and current activities implemented towards the establishment of regional CMCs. It was also reported on drills conducted in the regions.

Minister Yeritsyan also referred to the activities carried out in regional crisis management centers. Opening ceremonies of the regional centers were scheduled starting from April. Regional CMCs’ effective work is provided by experienced professionals and the latest technologies.
