Solemn meeting devoted to the 23-rd anniversary of the Armenian Army

 On January 26, a solemn meeting of Advisory Board to the Defense Minister, dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of formation of the Armenian Army was held in the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense.

The meeting, headed by Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan,was attended by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan, RA Justice Minister, Hovhannes Manukyan, Director of the National Security Service Gorik Hakobyan, Chief of RA Police Vladimir Gasparyan, the commander of the army of NKR Movses Hakobyan, Chief of RA Presidential Administration Vigen Sargsyan, many other high-ranking military and government officials.

Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan presented a summary of the events conducted by the Ministry of Defense in the preceding year, aimed at protecting the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

Seyran Ohanyan highly appreciated the preparedness of the military, officer staff of armed forces, activities carried out, and especially their high professionalism performed in the neutralization of the enemy in July and August last year.

The Minister of Defence awarded certificates, medals and precious gifts the best soldiers of the year, and banners were handed to the best units.

In his remarks, Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan stressed, that the victorious Armenian Army had provided not only a moral, but also material victory for the first time during the first millennium and those victories were maintained by daily courage and self-sacrifice of our brave soldiers.

Armen Yeritsyan expressed gratitude to Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and the servicemen for performing holy work, protecting the homeland honorably.

By order of the Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan, a number of officers of the armed forces were awarded certificates and medal of MTAES “Collaboration for salvation”.
