On September 1, the Day of Knowledge, Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia Armen Yeritsyan met with the students and teaching staff of the Crisis Management State Academy (CMSA) of the Ministry.
Welcoming the participants, the rector of the CMSA, R/S Colonel H. Matevosyan gave the floor to the Minister of Emergency Situations.
A.Yeritsyan congratulated the young entrants, on occasion of entering University and on the fact of becoming students:
-I think, it’s a great honor for each of you to become a student of our academy. I have studied in Kaliningrad, and by now, I remember those years very well. The Academy prepares specialists in various fields, and my recommendation is to pay more attention to foreign languages and computer skills, so we’ll be able to send our students abroad for training. It is a unique institution of higher education, that provides graduates with a job. I urge you to study hard, so that you can find your place in life. If you lack ambition, so you have nothing to do in any University.
It is also planned to invite different scholars to give lectures at the Academy, and the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, by order of ES Minister, must have compulsory hours at the Academy.
This year the Academy admitted 61 students in Bachelor’s Programs, and 40 students in Master's Programs. 127 students had applied for part-time educational process. 40 entrants entered the CMSA college, 9 of them in Stepanavan.
During the meeting, taking the opportunity, the freshmen addressed their questions to Minister A. Yeritsyan: they were concerned with various issues, including admission of foreign citizens, finding jobs, continuation of education abroad, the procedure of awarding titles of rescue service and regional crisis management centers.
At the end, Minister of Emergency Situations toured the building getting familiar with working conditions and terms of learning.
