On July 25, the Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia Armen Yeritsyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Armenia Tian Changchun. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the results of the ES Minister's visit to China on July 14-17.

A. Yeritsyan thanked the Ambassador stressing, that within the framework of a short visit, a full program of meetings and visits was organized.
-Within a few days, we visited the Seismic Protection Service of China, the center of the space information, there we had various meetings, and all meetings were very efficient and at high level. There is an agreement, in the near future to send experts from the Ministry of Emergency Situations to the space center for trainings, so that we could also use the information received from the satellites. The Seismic Service of China is one of the best, and there is need to activate cooperation in this field.

-I am glad, that the visit was effective, I was informed, that China is also interested in the experience of the MES and they are surprised by the fact, that here all services related to emergencies, are collected under one structure. Every minute of your work can cost human lives, so preparedness and cooperation are very important.

Minister of Emergency Situations told the Ambassador, that he had invited his colleagues to Armenia to see that all by their own eyes.

As far back as on September 2013, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Armenia and the People's Republic of China in the field of emergency management.

Currently steps are taken to enhance cooperation, and Ambassador Tian Changchun assured, that he is ready to do everything possible to promote cooperation between the Armenian and Chinese peoples.
