Ministry of Emergency Situations

On July 22, Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan visited Gegharkunik. Minister’s first stop was in the fire-rescue detachment of Sevan.

Armen Yeritsyan walked around FRD territory, talked with rescuers. The Minister was pleased to note, that the newly appointed FRD commander, r/s Lieutenant Evelina Khachatryan was successfully performing the tasks set before her.

Then, the Minister visited the special water-rescue detachment of Sevan city and the hydro - meteorological observatory. Getting acquainted with the working conditions, A. Yeritsyan gave instructions related to reconstruction works. Today, the special water-rescue detachment of the MoES is equipped with necessary equipment - motorboats and boats, which allows to implement permanent control on the shores of Lake Sevan. Armen Yeritsyan personally walked along several public beaches and got aquainted with water- rescuers' work, who were on duty. ES Minister instructed to strengthen the control on beaches in this active holiday season, in order to minimize the number of accidents.

Next stop was in the resort area of the National Center of Technical Security of the MoES, where construction works were in process.

In the regional center Gavar, the Minister of Emergency Situations visited the regional Rescue Department, where soon will operate the crisis management center of Gegharkunik. CMC's area have already been renovated and equipped with necessary equipment.
