RA Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan today visited Aragatsotn region. During the meeting held in the local government/marzpetaran were discussed issues related to current problems in the region. Deputy Prime Minister introduced to agricultural working process; particularly was mentioned that organization of grapes’ procurement and autumn sowing processes normally. Total grapes’ crop this year has made up 2980 ton in comparison with 2300 ton of the previous year. 1030 ton of the whole crop is already prosecuted. Also were presented data on agricultural gross domestic product. It was mentioned that this year was registered 3, 1 per cent decrease, cattle-breeding data has also decreased and made up 0,7 per cent and cultivation decrease made up 5,6 per cent in comparison with the same period of 2009. The main reason of the decrease registered is the unfavorable weather conditions.

As well were presented indices of personal income collection of regional community for nine month of the current year according to which was registered decrease of land taxation rate. Similar tendencies were observed in state and local taxation. Deputy Prime Minister charged the local governors to take measures for improving indices, providing proper level of collection, as well clarifying the reasons of the decrease. A. Gevorgyan as well ordered local governors/marzpets to elaborate realizable budget project for 2011 with the heads of communities. Deputy Prime Minister also put importance on assistance of local self-governing bodies in irrigation payment collection process.

Another issue of the discussion was the training procedure of heads of communities and community councils. A. Gevorgyan ordered to organize work on-site as all the interested will be able to participate in trainings and to exclude absences.

As well were discussed issues on capital construction, working process of restoration of third category channels implemented in a number of communities by “Millennium Challenge Armenia” SNCO project and other issues.
