ISSUES RELATED TO CEASING OF UTILIZATION OF ILLEGAL DEEP WELLS OF ARARAT VALLEY WERE DISCUSSED

Today during the meeting with RA Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan were discussed issues related to ceasing of utilization of illegal deep wells of Ararat valley. The participants of the meeting were Ministers of Nature protection and Agriculture, local governors of Ararat and Armavir regions, deputy chief police officer and deputy chief prosecutor, head of RA PM Control Service, head of MTA State Water Committee, as well as representatives of MTA and the Government.

It was mentioned that water users and especially holders of fish-breeding companies were given the necessary time since April and were presented technical tasks for legalization of deep wells utilization. On September 4 during the meeting in Hayanist community of Ararat region with the heads of fish-breeding economies Armen Gevorgyan proposed once more to implement requirements of the norms determined by water-using permission package and to comply with rules.

During the meeting they registered that with the exception of one or two cases the fish-breeding companies have not done any considerable steps. It was decided to create a specialized working group with the representatives of Miniseries of Agriculture, Nature Protection and Territorial Administration, and RA State revenue committee in order to take necessary measures based on the cession procedure of illegal deep wells utilization proposed by RA chief prosecutor. During the meeting they particularly emphasized that they will strongly apply necessary and administrative, statutory measures to the users of illegal deep wells in Ararat region.
