Discussion of vehicle taxation issues

RA Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan held a working meeting. Issues connected with taxation of vehicle, registered in the RA communities, were discussed at the meeting.

Heads the RA Police, the RA Traffic Police, the First Deputy Minister of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration V. Terteryan, and Deputy Minister of the RA State Revenue Committee participated in the meeting.

The RA Police made a list of vehicle to be rejected. Vehicle, subject to inventory, unfit for exploitation and not existing vehicles were inserted in this list. Тhe list will help registering and recording body to strike the vehicles off the register.

It was reported that activities were being carried with communities and corresponding lists would be provided to all communities as soon as possible.

It was noted that the RA Draft Law "On making changes in the RA Law "On Property tax" was put into circulation. According to this draft law it is envisaged to prolong the term vehicle rejection registered in communities before December 31, 2008 till December 31, 2010.

RA Deputy Prime Minister assigned to complete rejection activities of vehicles of all types with old numbers this year, which in its turn would contribute to collection of property tax collection.

Another issue connected with collection of property tax was also discussed at the meeting. Regional subdivisions of the organizations, registered in Yerevan, but operating in the RA marzes, pay the property tax at the place where the main organization is registered. Proceeding from the principle of balanced development of territories pursued by the RA Government, the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and the RA State Revenue Committee were assigned to discuss this issues and present suggestions as soon as possible.

It was noted that the norm on taking off the property from the previous owner in case of selling the vehicle, registered in communities, through a license or a notary office, it was decided to eliminate this shortcoming.
