Basis for the development of mutual cooperation

On September 25 the RA Deputy Prime-Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan a received the newly appointed ambassador of Egypt, Valid El Din Is mail Gala.

Congratulating the ambassador, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed that there were various mutual visits during 15 years of diplomatic relations between two countries. Armenian –Egyptian interstate committee, co-chaired by the RA Deputy Minister, was set, as well as 4 dozens of documents were signed.

The Ambassador Galal noted that he has had cooperation experience with Armenia, as before his appointment he headed Egypt Fund for Technical Cooperation with the CIS of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, thanks to which more than 1300 Armenian specialists were trained in the fields of diplomacy, security, trade, bank system, health care, oriental studies and other ones.

The two then gave importance to the concrete steps directed towards further development of the mutual cooperation between Armenia and Egypt.

The following issues were discussed at the meeting: oorganization of the upcoming session of the interstate commission, which will take place in autumn in Yerevan, organization of direct flights from Armenia to Egypt, development of the economic and trade ties between Armenia and Egypt.

The RA Deputy Prime-Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan cherished hope that the relations between our two countries would become more close and effective with the appointment of Vahid El Din Ismail Galal.
