Ministry of Emergency Situations
of the Republic of Armenia

In his welcoming speech Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan, Vice-Prime-Minister and Minister of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia, mentioned that these structures were called to guarantee the stability, economic growth and national safety of the CIS countries. The following issues were discussed: increase in efficiency of Advisory Council`s activities; information concerning the basic organization of CIS countries in the sphere of scientific-technical development of the state material reserves system; retraining of specialists; conception for the development of scientific-technical cooperation in the framework of the Advisory Counsil till 2017; establishment of transit reserves for humanitarian aid in the territory of Armenia; methodological and informational cooperation of appropriate structures; elections of the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Council for 2007-2008; approval of activities plan for 2007-2008. Mr. Kabidolla Sarekenov, Chairman of the Advisory Council and Committee Chairman for the State Reserves of Kazakhstan, welcomed the idea of establishment of transit reserves for humanitarian aid in the territory of Armenia.
