On January 12, at 06:45 an emergency call was received to Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center that fire had broken out in an apartment on the first floor of a building on Spandaryan street in Kapan town.

Two fire units and the operative group from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MES of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that the fire broke out in the basements and balconies of both apartments.

The fire was localized at 07:35 and extinguished at 08։40. The balcony (about 6 square meters), the basement (about 6 square meters), furniture and household items, the balcony (about 6 square meters) and the basement (about 6 square meters) of the adjacent apartment were burnt.
