On October 21, at 15։45 an emergency call was received to Lori Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred on Alaverdi-Dsegh roadway: there was a casualty.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MES of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that "Opel Astra G" car (driver Ye. Ch.) crashed into a bicycle on the 16th km of Alaverdi-Vanadzor section of M-6 roadway.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene the bicyclist (A. S. born in 1984, citizen of Portuguese Republic) had been hospitalized to the medical center in Alaverdi town, where without regaining consciousness died.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery and closed the gas valve of the car.
