Cave-in with collapse in the section leading to Tsitsernakaberd highway from Leningradyan street

On May 20, at 06:55 an emergency call was received to Crisis management national center that collapse of the roadway had occurred in the section leading to Tsitsernakaberd highway from Leningradyan street of Yerevan street.
One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Yerevan Rescue Department and the operative group from Crisis management national center of the Rescue Service of the MES of RA dispatched to the scene.
It turned out that cave-in of the land occurred followed by the collapse of the roadway (about 22 square meters section) and the reinforced concrete retaining wall, two external lighting poles were overturned, cables and sewers were damaged, there was a danger of the repeated collapse of the roadway (it is two-way closed): there were no casualties.
The rescuers blocked off the scene.
