Russian helicopter went down and a fire broke out in Ararat province

On November 9, at 18:39 an emergency call was received to Ararat crisis management center that Russian helicopter had gone down and a fire broken out in the gorge leading from Yeraskh village to Paruyr Sevak village.

Three fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad and the operative group of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MES of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that Russian Mi-24 helicopter had gone down in the middle of the field on the right side of the 2nd km of Yeraskh-Paruyr Sevak roadway and a fire broken out.

There are two victims and a casualty: the latter had been taken to N Military Unit of the Ministry of Defense.

The fire was localized at 19:48 and extinguished at 20:11. The helicopter and about 30 square meters grass area burnt.
