RTA on Goris-Kapan highway: there was a casualty

On January 24, at 20:22 an emergency call was received to 911 emergency call center that a car accident had occurred near Karahunj village on Goris-Kapan highway.
A fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MES dispatched to the scene.
It turned out that “Ford Transit” car (driver Vahe M) had run off the roadway and slipped into a canyon (about 10 m) on the 8th km of Goris-Kapan highway.
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene the passenger (Kolya M., born in 1963) had been taken to the medical center of Goris town. According to doctors the casualty was in satisfactory condition.
The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery of the car.
