Fire in Geghhovit village: there were no casualties

On August 24, at 14:03 an emergency call was received to “911” service that a grass cover was burning in the field called “Sangyar” 25 km far from Geghhovit village of Gegharkunik province.
The operative group from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MES of RA dispatched to the scene.
The fire was isolated at 19:00: there was no risk of spreading.
On August 25, at 11:20 the fire was extinguished by itself. About 100 ha of grass cover was burnt.
