A gas cylinder exploded in Yeghegnadzor town: there were no casualties

On June 18, at 19:10 information was received to “911” service that an explosion had occurred in a petrol station at 1 Yerevanyan highway, Yeghegnadzor town, Vayots dzor Province: the rescuers’ help was needed.

A fire unit from the fire and rescue squad of the rescue service of MES of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that the explosion had occurred from a gas cylinder in the warehouse of a liquefied gas station adjacent to the petrol station. As a result of the explosion the partition wall (2 m2) of the building collapsed, the ceiling (5 m2) was damaged, a sheet of glass was broken (4 m2): there were no casualties.

The rescuers blocked off the scene.
